What’s the difference between Frustration-Free Packaging and traditional packaging?

The Frustration-Free Package (on the left) is recyclable and comes without excess packaging materials such as hard plastic clamshell casings, plastic bindings, and wire ties. It’s designed to be opened without the use of a box cutter or knife and will protect your product just as well as traditional packaging (on the right). Products with Frustration-Free Packaging can frequently be shipped in their own boxes, without an additional shipping box.

Fantastic. Solving a real, yet superficial problem (wrap rage) while solving a much bigger issue (shipping costs and packaging waste.) By making this solution about giving a tangible, immediate benefit to the consumer, Amazon can get away with boring boxes and lack of design. It’s just another way that Amazon can compete in ways retail stores will never be able to. Though to be fair, IKEA has been using this method and it’s worked out fine for them. Maybe in the future we’ll all just look at a sample shelf of everything and take it home in simple, recyclable cardboard box.

I can only image what the fuck it’s doing during those pauses. Seriously, the thing has to serve data to 9 people for 7 hours a day. I could do it’s job with a filing cabinet and a bottle of scotch. The filing cabinet to help me look the part and the scotch to help me become catatonic and unresponsive to people’s requests for data while I occasionally gain consciousness to announce to the world that I, Lord Urine, must make a mighty oration. With my kingly scepter.

So there you have it. My job is taking care of the town drunk.

In related news I sent off for my absentee ballot today. I’m quite glad to be voting with pen and paper as I feel like it has a decent chance of being counted.

I felt ok about the future.

In other news.

2. I’m going to start blogging daily again. My original goal was 180 days or 180 posts, whichever came first.

I recently read that people often fail at meeting goals because they are inherently problem solvers, not goal meeters. I consider myself a problem solver but in this case I’m definitely in search of whatever it is that needs fixing. To start I have a mountain of images that hold incredible memories, images that I’m sure friends would love to see and I would love to share. The second problem I have is that I’m incredibly lazy. Astonishingly so. In fact the main source of sustenance this weekend was 2 boxes of Life cereal. Something I as recently as Wednesday described as “incredfvlble.” This misnomer created because I was shoving my face full of the stuff. It should also be noted that I have a grocery store 2 blocks away from my house.

So there you have it. My problems stem from God knows where but manifest themselves in 2 dollar a box (Awesome deal, I know) wheat-sugar.

I have a lot of things to share. And if I can’t think of anything good to go along with it I’ll keep the ramble to a minimum.

I keep writing because I can’t think of a clear ending point but also this stupid picture of life is formatting weird and is leaving a dumb space at the end of the post.
