I suppose I didn’t go into enough detail about the video clips. I’ll do that soon. for now, this is a ramble.
Imposing.
Space.
Landscape.
Small made large.
can’t make it good make it big?
I want a self portrait. the eyes connect the viewer in a way that doesn’t happen with any other part of the body. Plus I’ll look sweet as a 6′ tall face of computer-future.
I want people to be able to interact with the lumanence effects. How do I tie it together with the still works. How do I change it so it’s not just using the plugin straight. Do I have to? Yes because I think it’s close but not close enough to being the just essence of what I need. How do I give the scenario a life of it’s own. Room for it to exist by itself while letting people in to play, discover, and learn.
Ben and I talked about grad school. It’s a time to make a body of work based on what you know. Not to learn something new. If that’s true then why should i go. I’m more interested in learning new things than feeling stuck on what I’ve done. That right there says a lot about my work, not the work itself but its creation. I’ve opened a lot of avenue’s with past work, but I never wanted to walk down them. Either because I felt it required serious conceptual thinking, or that I didn’t know where else to take it. Case in point, image mosaics or the corrupted, hex-edited photos.
need to remember to ask ben about his thoughts regarding scanning the brick and turning it into a landscape. Can’t believe I’m only thinking of this now.
What’s a post slug?
